This framing story serves as both the prologue and epilogue of the book. Two friends travel to China, where one suffers a minor accident and ends up in the hospital. During his recovery, he begins reading a book of short stories that profoundly changes the way he sees reality.
2. Love at Buckstar
A teenage girl eagerly starts her first serious job at a downtown café popular among celebrities and artists. However, she soon discovers that the reality of the workplace is far from her expectations, leading to the revelation of family secrets and hidden pasts.
